With  conscious connected breathing,  Christine's breathwork  session sets itself apart from other types of breathwork with its corrective experience.

You are always in control of your experience and every experience is unique for each individual.

Breathwork sessions are based in the mindfulness principles of grounding, presence, clearing, opening, self-awareness and compassion. Christine’s accredited foundational training applies a conscious, connected circular breath to start, then transitions to holotropic breathwork principals without music for most sessions, while also supporting client’s inner knowing/healer who at time may request a session with music. As facilitator, Christine grounded presence provides a safe space for  individuals to explore a  non-ordinary states of consciousness. It has been referred to as an alternative to  using psilocybin, where one can achieve a very similar experience. This intentional shift in awareness creates access to ones inner healer, opening the opportunity to work through mental, emotional, or physical blockages, ultimately contributing to a release of stored stress, an exploration of  inner wisdom, enhanced healing and well-being.

 

The subconscious mind will only bring into awareness what you are ready to heal or release.

Are there contraindications to consider before engaging in this type of breathwork?

 

This type of breathwork is a safe  and natural healing technique that uses intentional breathing patterns to promote healing on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels, however there are some conditions that require special considerations. Due to associated medical concerns regarding the following conditions, Christine  is unable to provide breathwork facilitation.

  • You are pregnant or suspect you are pregnant

  • Glaucoma

  • Untreated High blood pressure

  • Severe cardiovascular problems

  • Epilepsy/seizures

  • Recent surgery or serious injury.

  • Have a diagnosis of Bipolar, Schizophrenia, Dissociative Identity Disorder or Psychosis.

What to expect during your first breath session?

Once you book first session, Christine will contact you via email and attach an intake form to fill out  which is then either email back to Christine, or brought to your first session.

  • In the first half hour, the intake form is reviewed together with Christine, she will go over the principles of IBT and any questions you may have. Next,  Christine will guide you in how the breathe using the conscious, connected circular breath. She will then explain the process of  formulating  a clear intention. 

What emerges during a session varies, breathwork is a highly individualistic experience. You can never predict what will arise or what will be needed ahead of time. Leaving all preexisting expectations at the door and surrendering to the process will open up the opportunity for your breathwork to occur naturally.

Within all of us is an inner healer that knows what is needed to be balanced and whole. Whatever is essential for your healing will naturally come to surface.

 

  • Christine's role as facilitator is to accompany you, hold and honour sacred space. She is the mentor that  reassures and champions your inner wisdom.. How far and how fast the breather allows themself to go is mitigated by the Ego and its defenses. The Ego ensures we remain safe in times of uncertainty and therefore your subconscious mind will only reveal what you are ready to bring into awareness.

  • Christine will ensure you are lying down comfortably, and has everything necessary on hand to provide the support you need during your one hour session. 

  • Next, you will begin with slow, conscious, connected circular breathing, then increase the breathing rhythm.. Christine ensures you are grounded throughout your process and guides you as you explore stored layers, stress, emotions, belief systems. This process facilitates the emergence of the corrective response  that serves your highest wellbeing. Then, breathers often express a  sense of awe, aliveness and renewed energy. You may experience more than one cycle in a one hour  breath session.

After your breath session

In bringing your session to completion, Christine will guide you in this integral part of your process. In this phase, with reflection, affirmation discussion, and various forms of creative expression you  will explore a deeper understanding of your insights and healing gained during your breathe. Christine will offer suggestions and/or assignments to explore between sessions. This will assist with integrating your new found awareness and insights into your daily life.

Length of Sessions and Investment 

First sessions is  2 hours  and following sessions are 1.5 hours in length.​​​

$150 per 1.5hr session.

Christine has also ​acquired  a Vulnerable Sector Background Check, basic CPR/First Aid Certification and is a member of the Global Professional Breathworkers Alliance.
